The teapot is made of Yixing Zisha clay, with a fine texture and smooth surface in a light brownish-purple color. Its spout is shaped like a dragon's head, and the handle features a crouching Chi dragon motif. The base is round, supported by three tripod-shaped feet, and the lid is topped with a relief sculpture of a reclining tiger knob. The body is decorated with a black clay thundercloud motif band, complemented by ruyi cloud patterns encircling the upper and lower sections.
The base bears a square seal depicting a lion playing with a ball, while the interior of the lid is stamped with a rectangular seal of artist’s name "Shou Fu" (綬馥). The design draws inspiration from bronze vessels of the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, combining linear engravings with shallow reliefs. Animal motifs on the spout, handle, and knob harmonize with the thundercloud patterns on the body. The teapot reflects ancient simplicity and elegance, highlighting exceptional craftsmanship.
